In my last column, I wrote about “What is personal branding?” When I look at people who are active in the business world, I often feel that personal branding is wonderful. In this column, I would like to write about personal branding, focusing on Lars Nootvar, who has become extremely popular in Japan while the excitement of winning the WBC championship continues to cool down.

What is the appeal of Nootbar players? ?

What appealed to me about Nootbar was his diving catch on a ball that looked like it would be a hit when he was on defense. His attitude was that of a baseball boy innocently chasing a white ball. A commentator said that when players become professionals, they think about various things before diving into the ball (injuries, getting a runner on the ball will have little impact, jumping in and deflecting it backwards will cause a crisis, etc.) and then choose not to jump into the ball. He said there are many. Meanwhile, Nootbar jumped in without any hesitation. And he made a nice catch, but even if he couldn’t catch the ball, Nootbar’s play would have been burned into the eyes of many fans.

“Jumping in without hesitation” is not something that everyone can do. I felt that this was the brand of Nootbar. In his case, his pepper mill performance and his attitude of motivating his teammates are also wonderful. However, I think what really made him shine compared to other players was his play style of “jumping in without hesitation.” Branding is the act (measure) of making a brand shine, but athletes’ play style itself shines. In particular, when a momentary play shines brightly, the brand also shines brightly.

I don’t think anyone has a goal of failing at work. I’m sure there are many readers of “Market TRUNK” who worry about how to achieve results through marketing every day, and are working hard every day to find a solution. I believe that hard work and effort can continue because there is a successful result after it. Yes, no one would do that if suffering was the only goal. Success is fun and feels good, and what’s more, being able to enjoy your work and achieve success will give you the greatest sense of happiness.

Being successful at work means winning a happy life. Nothing makes me happier than having fun at work and achieving success. When I look at WBC player Nootbar’s performance and look at his facial expressions, I can’t help but feel a sense of happiness. So, how can you “enjoy your work and achieve success”? Personal branding has a big impact on this.

If you can always do things that no one else can do in your workplace, that would be the best form of personal branding. The result is that you can enjoy your work and achieve success. By setting that as your goal, you will be able to get through even the toughest and most difficult tasks, and you will definitely be able to achieve success as a result.

When I look back, there were countless difficult and painful times. I was able to get through this by continuing to do what I could and motivating myself to enjoy my work. And even though I am over 60 years old, I continue to enjoy my work. If your goal is to exit at a young age, that may be a good idea. However, many people will continue to work after the age of 60, and while the number of years left will vary from person to person, it is not too late. There is no doubt that if you reconsider your personal branding, you will have a brighter future than the one you have now.
