Fast Marketing announced the results of its “Survey on Webinar Viewing” on September 19, 2020. The survey period is from September 14th to September 15th, 2020. We received responses from 351 office workers in their 20s to 50s who said they had participated in a webinar since the beginning of 2020.
This survey clarified participants’ goals and actual conditions regarding webinar viewing.
The purpose of participating in the webinar is to gather information. 20% consider products and services
When respondents who had participated in
a webinar were asked in a preliminary survey about their purpose for participating in a webinar
, the most common response (37.9%) was “to learn techniques and techniques that are useful for work.” Next, 35.9% said “Learn about trends in the industry and the world,” followed by 35.0% “Gather information about products and services.” Information collection ranged from wide-ranging topics such as industry trends to partial information such as techniques, products, and services useful for work. 22.2% said they would consider introducing a product or service.

Next, when asked about the average number of times they participate in webinars per month, 63.2% answered “1 to 2 times.” 25.1% said “3 to 4 times,” 7.7% said “5 to 6 times,” and 4.0% said “7 or more times.”

More than 70% felt an increase in information about webinars

Next, respondents were asked whether they felt that information about holding webinars had increased in the past three months. It was found that 74.0% felt that the number had increased, including 38.5% who said they felt it and 35.6% who said they felt it somewhat.

Webinars are cheaper to hold than real seminars, both in terms of resources and money, so they can be held more often. The results also showed that participants felt that the number of webinars being held had increased.

70% feel tired when choosing a webinar
Finally, we asked if there was ever so much information out there about hosting a webinar that it felt tiring to choose one. A total of 70.4% (23.9% of respondents who answered “often” and 46.6% of respondents who answered “sometimes”) said they had felt tired when choosing a webinar.
Webinars have become easier to participate in because they no longer require participants to travel, lowering geographic barriers to participation. However, as it has become easier, it has also become easier to withdraw from the seminar.
In the future, in order to be selected and participate in many webinars, it is necessary to provide more fulfilling content that allows participants to empathize with and discover new things. Specifically, we create content (how to convey the message) by segmenting the target in detail, such as changing the expression slightly depending on the position and environment of each participant, even if it is the same message, and clarifying the image of the target. . Also, make sure to clarify what type of message you are targeting and then try to attract customers.

This survey revealed that as more and more webinars are being held, participants are feeling tired of choosing which ones to attend. Among the many webinars out there, being able to set detailed targets and provide useful content that elicits empathy and discovery will be what differentiates you from other companies’ webinars.
